BLANKENSHIP 12U TAKES 3RD AT NSA WORLD SERIES
The Tampa Mustangs - Blankenship was the last all first-year 12U team standing in the recent NSA World Series. They played hard all week, falling to the Mustangs Elite from Tennessee on the last day of the tournament. It was good enough for a 3rd place finish!
Back at 'em next season, girls! The Mustangs are focusing on ASA competition in the Fall The goal is to qualify for and compete in ASA Nationals in Sacramento in July 2015!
Congrats to these hard working girls!! Undefeated in their first tournament of the fall season and champs to top it off! Pitchers were spot on with only 5 walks in five games, bats were solid and put 36 runs on the board while the defense allowed only 8 runs. The final two games were versus ‘01 core teams preparing to move to 14s this fall. Great weekend of solid softball! Welcome to our four new players: Lexi, Maia, Alissa & Sadie. Next up: ASA Qualifier in Titusville. Go Mustangs!
Tampa Mustangs- Blankenship go Undefeated at USSSA in Sarasota
The Champions of the USSSA Touch ‘em All Pink Tournament October 4-5: Tampa Mustangs ‘02!!! The girls scored 37 runs while allowing 8 on their way to the victory. We’re so proud of these girls who overcame two very early mornings and more than 7 hours of rain delays to come out on top. What a great display of teamwork and defense from these athletes this weekend. Go Mustangs!!
Blankenship 12u Wins USSSA Touch 'Em All Pink Tournament
The Mustangs were back in action at Eddie C. Moore this weekend playing in Bomberween, an NSA event. Out of 9 12u teams, they seeded number one on Saturday then marched through all of their elimination games Sunday. Their final battle was versus the Manatee Twisters ‘02. It was a tense game for three innings, with the Mustangs holding a two-run lead. Then, pitcher Tori Brennan kept the Ks coming and the run support came alive. The final fifteen minutes was a great display of hitting to end the game with the home team at bat and only one out. Final score stood at 8-1, and Mustangs make it three in a row. The girls are preparing for the ASA Tampa Qualifier next weekend.

The Tampa Mustangs ‘02 earn Florida’s first 12u ASA berth to the National Championships in Sacramento, CA!
The Mustangs played five games over the weekend standing undefeated in all games. This makes four tournaments in a row in which they’ve won the championship!
They are remarkable group of girls who pick each other up and play hard. They have a long road to go over the next eight months to become contenders on the national stage, but will keep working very hard along with their coaches to achieve their goals. Congratulations mustangs 21 wins 2 losses so far this fall. Outstanding hitting, pitching and plays this weekend.

Tori Brennan - Top Performer
Tampa Mustangs-Blankenship pitcher, Tori Brennan was named as one of the seven top performers in the Tampa Elite Showcase that took place in November. Congratulations, Tori!!
Kelsey Kadlub and Sydney Fowler from the Tampa Mustangs- Fowler team also made the top seven!!!

It’s been a busy spring season for the Tampa Mustangs and it is only February! Their first tournament of the season was the NSA Iron Woman in Winter Garden. They played five games in the 12u division and stayed undefeated all weekend, scoring 68 runs while allowing only three on the way to the championship!
Feb 7-8 weekend brought the Mustangs to the 3n2 Eckerd College Invitational. The team entered the 14u division for the first time. They seeded first going 3-0 on Saturday and then hit their way to another championship! They picked each other up as they faced some differences between 14u and 12u, and it was great to see the girls fight together and keep playing Mustang softball!!
Next up: Feb. 21-22 in Clermont and then Feb 28th brings the ASA 12u Elite tournament, part of the USF Under Armor Invitational.

Tampa Mustangs Hennigar Earns Berth at 2016 14U ASA Nationals!!!!

Tampa Mustangs Hennigar participated in the East Coast ASA Qualifier in Altamonte Springs, went 3-0 to win the tournament and earn a berth in the 2016 ASA Nationals that take place in Sioux City, SD , July 30th through Aug 3rd.
Tampa Mustangs Hennigar Wins 14u ASA State- Earns Berth at 2017 Nationals!

The Tampa Mustangs Hennigar win the 14U ASA State Championship in Ft.Myers and clinch a berth to Nationals for 2017!
They were undefeated in tournament play over the weekend. They faced the Gainesville Gold in a back-and-forth championship game that saw the lead change 9 times. They entered the 7th inning tied with both teams posting 7 runs. Brooke Blankenship blasted a home run over the left field fence to land the victory for her Mustang team!

Tori Brennan, a pitcher on Tampa Mustangs Hennigar, also plays at East Lake High School as a freshman.
She came up in a big way for her team at the Lady Canes HS Tournament.
As the sole pitcher for her team during the tournament, she pitched 4 complete games leading her team to a 4-0 while only allowing 1 run during the tournament.

Hennigar 14u Takes the Crown at Queens of the Hill Tournament

The Tampa Mustangs Organization held court in Clermont this weekend at the USSSA Queens of the Hill Tournament taking both 1st and 2nd place.
During seeding play on Saturday, the Hennigar 14u team shut out the competition not allowing any runs, while they scored 25. This was enough to give them the #1 seed on Sunday. Tampa Mustangs Hennigar won their first two games on Sunday, 14-6 and then 6-0.
They ultimately found themselves facing 'sister' team Tampa Mustangs Eve in the Championship. By the end of the challenge, Tampa Mustangs Hennigar took the championship and proudly posed with runner up the Tampa Mustangs Eve Team.

Tampa Mustangs Maguire Wins PGF 16U Platinum Championship!!!

Perserverence paid off for Tampa Mustangs Maguire 16u this past Saturday!
Playing games all through the week, and remaining undefeated, the Mustangs faced off with the only other undefeated team, the So Cal Breakers-Labs/Blue for the PGF 16u Platinum Championship.
The first part of the game was a true battle between the two teams, but the Tampa Mustangs prevailed with a 5-2 win!
Kris Blankenship posted "The girls have given unselfishly to each other this week, playing roles, and doing exactly what it took to pull off a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AT PGF!!!"
