About Us

The Tampa Mustangs are a division "A" girls fastpitch softball organization. The Tampa Mustangs were formed in 1981 by Ray and Cathy Seymour to give central Florida girls a chance to compete at the highest competitive level available. There are no boundary restrictions for player eligibility. The organization is made up of girls from Tampa, Brandon, Clearwater, Orlando, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg, and Lakeland.

The Organizations multiple team's goals for the year 2005 are to play in Tampa, Auburndale, Clearwater, Sarasota and Miami area tournaments, as well as travel to Amateur Softball Association (ASA) ,Independent Softball Association (ISA) and National Softball Association (NSA) regional and state tournaments held all over the state of Florida. When they qualify, the team's plan to play in the NSA Nationals tournament, which will be held in Columbus, Ohio  and the ASA Nationals Tournament , which will be held in, Texas, Florida, Illinois, California, and Indiana. at the end of the summer.  

We Pay Our Way to Play

As a not for Profit traveling Girls Fastpitch Softball Organization, the Tamp Mustangs earn their way to play through fundraising efforts and generous sponsors throughout the community, as well as through monthly dues paid by their families.
In addition to sponsorships that will help the girls compete locally, the teams hold fundraisers to help themselves.  They raise money by participating in car washes, hosting tournaments and working major sporting events in the Tampa Bay area.  Other fundraisers will be held throughout the year.

How You Can Help

It takes a great deal of effort and dedication from the coaches, girls, and parents in order to build and maintain a fast pitch tournament team. The Tampa Mustangs earn their way to play through fundraising efforts and generous sponsors throughout the community. We are currently seeking new sponsors for the 2005 summer and fall season. This tax-deductible sponsorship supports the team with tournament fees, equipment, and travel expenses. Your sponsorship will provide an opportunity for these young ladies to develop into talented athletes, as well as leaders and role models for the future.

We currently recognize three levels of support. You can be a Silver level sponsor for a minimum donation of only $50. You will receive a letter of support from the Tampa Mustangs Organization.  For a donation of $100 or more, you can be a Gold level sponsor. In addition to the "Letter", your company name will also be added to the teams web page. For a donation of $250 or more, you will become a Platinum level sponsor. Your company, and if applicable the companies  web address, will also be recognized on our web site with the team.
